On some Hymenoptera from the Raffles Museum, Singapore

This is a short taxonomic note by P. Cameron listing undetermined Hymenoptera sent to him by Dr. Hanitsch from the Raffles Museum, Singapore, as a contribution to the knowledge of the island’s hymenopterous fauna (p. 119).

Summary

The note provides a list of species identified from the collection, including several previously recorded taxa such as Evania appendigaster, Discolia decorata, Vespa cincta, and Anthophora zonata, with brief remarks on their distribution and taxonomic relationships (pp. 119–123). Three new species are described: Piageta ruficollis, a black and red spider wasp of nearly 10 mm length, compared to P. rufivenis (p. 119); Icaria singapurensis, a brownish-black and yellow wasp of 14 mm, compared to I. 4-maculata (p. 120); and Icaria rufinoda, a deep black wasp with white pubescence and a ferruginous petiole of 12 mm, compared to I. lugubris (p. 121). A new species of Bracon, B. spilogaster, is also described from Ternate (p. 123).
